Well we are off and running! I would like to extend
my deepest thanks to Robert Bouknight and Bryan
Holcomb for the effort that they put into securing a
great location and a great caterer.
Warm thanks go out to Chris Edmonson for bringing
us a great topic. Again I challenge anyone to fall
asleep in a Chris Edmonson lecture. If you missed
the meeting then you missed a great opportunity to
learn how to keep it from “Raining if your boiler”. And
if you do run into a situation where you have a boiler
that is 2 years old and is damaged because of acid in
the boiler then don’t come looking at North Piedmont
Chapter because “IT’S NOT OUR FAUT!!”
Our meeting this month is one that you, your
company and your customers need to be at. We
have a speaker that makes his living as a professional
project manager. He is coming to delivery the Tech
topic and Main topic on tools and tricks to make your
company more money on the projects you have now
and will get in the future. This is an opportunity to
hear a talk from a man that makes a living on what
he knows and is highly compensated for talking to
groups. Put it on your calendar and bring a
customer. Trust me your customer will be blown
away with bringing them to such a valuable meeting.
Last but not least anyone that did not come last
week because of concerns on parking is nutz! The
parking deck right off of Elm has access directly to
the Kress. PARKING IS FREE! Enter the deck and
keep on driving and following the signs. It seems to
take forever but you will park closer to the door than
all but the handicap spots at the Marriott. It is a
Breeze.
Thanks to everyone for letting Robert know who was
attending the meeting last month keep up the good
work so that we can be sure and have plenty of food
for everyone.

Membership Promotion |

by Kevin Heywood

Our September meeting was a Membership Promotion
Night and was very successful. I received four
applications for membership at the meeting and
handed out several more. Let’s keep on this role for
the October meeting and invite as many guests as
possible to come to this meeting. Be sure to invite
people who may be outside the HVAC industry but
are interested in what we do, i.e., Architects,
Building Owners, etc.
As always, we strive to have Positive Membership
Growth. The key to this is Positive Net Growth is to
have everyone renew their membership. In the next
month I will be posting a list of the members who are
delinquent. Please logon to the ASHRAE website and
renew your membership has soon as possible.
If there is anyone you know that might be interested
in joining ASHRAE please have them call me. Kevin

We look foward to a great year interacting with the
various educational venues in our area. Today's
students are the source of our future. Consider
spending a little extra time when explaining a
concept
that you are familiar with to others that may not be
as much of an expert. Learning never stops
