1927 - Carolina Theatre

Around 1927, the Carolina Theatre became the first public building in Greensboro to install air conditioning. Most other public facilities, including the Jefferson-Pilot Life Insurance Co. Building, didn't put in systems until after World War II.

Membership Promotion
by Kevin Heywood   Membership
Membership is having a strong year. We have and handful of new members and most of our existing members have paid their dues. Let's try to invite as many guests as possible to come to our March meeting. Be sure to invite people who may be outside the HVAC industry but are interested in what we do, i.e., Architects, Building Owners, etc. As always, we strive to have Positive Membership Growth. The key to this Positive Net Growth is to have everyone renew their membership. Please check your membership status to be sure that you are current. This helps the chapter greatly!

If there is anyone you know that might be interested in joining ASHRAE please have them call me. Kevin Heywood 336-292-8777
