History of the North Piedmont Chapter
of ASHRAE The North Carolina Chapter of ASRE was formed in 1939.
The current North Piedmont Chapter grew from the division of the original
North Carolina Chapter. The North Piedmont Chapter was charted and began
its operation in the 1952 / 1953 fiscal year of ASHVE (not ASHRAE). The
first North Piedmont Chapter President for ASHVE was L. L. Vaughan in 1952.
The first president of the North Carolina Chapter of ASHRAE after the
merger was B. J. (Billy) Jeglinski in 1959. The North Piedmont Chapter has Greensboro, NC (Guilford
County) as its headquarters and encompasses the following North Carolina
counties: Alamance, Caswell, Davidson, Davie, Forsyth, Guilford, Rockingham,
Randolph, Stokes, Surry, and Yadkin. ASHRAE 's success as the world's leader in the HVAC & R industry is the direct result of leadership's, continued involvement and the dedication of all the society's membership. The following is a list of Chapter Presidents starting with ASRE in 1939:
