The North Piedmont Chapter is one of the seven Chapters located in Region IV (NC, SC, and GA) of ASHRAE. It is headquartered in Greensboro, NC and serves the North Central geographic area of North Carolina.

The 2007-08 Rudy Ferguson Memorial Award for Region IV's best chapter.....once again....goes to NORTH PIEDMONT!!! Congratulations Bryan Holcomb and the gang for another great year.  (Actually it was a tie...North Piedmont and Triangle).

 

2008-09 ASHRAE Board of Director nominees are announced. North Piedmont's very own, Jim Fields, has been nominated for Society Vice President! Jim Fields is vice president, Superior Mechanical Services, Greensboro.  Can I get a  ....TECHNOLOGGGGGYYYYYY!

 

Greensboro Engineer Receives ASHRAE Distinguished Service Award – This award recognizes members of ASHRAE who have served the Society faithfully and with distinction on committees or otherwise given freely of their time and talent on behalf of the Society.  Charles (Chuck) E. Gulledge III, Senior Mechanical Engineer, AC Corporation, Greensboro, N.C. is a 2008 recipient of this award.

 

The 2008 Region IV Chapter's Regional Conference (CRC) was held August 14-16, 2008 in Sunset Beach, NC.  In addition to the RUDY, North Piedmont members also received the Region IV Arthrur Suggs Moneybags Award for the best Reseach Promotion Chair (Kevin Bengel), the Region IV Emmy Award for the best Chapter Technology Transfer Chair (Robert Bouknight), the Region IV Chipper Award for the best Chapter Programs Chair (Robert Bouknight), and the Region IV Iceman Award for the best Refrigeration Chair (Robin Hankins).  Job well done!
