Product Engineer - Responsible
for the research, development and design of new models, mechanisms,
electrical circuits, and adaptation of existing designs for air
cleaner or humidifier applications. Preliminary performance
data, cost, and production requirements for new products,
identification and approval of vendors, test procedure development
for prototypes. Minimum: BS, Mechanical preferred.
Minimum of 7 years product design experience. Knowledge of gas
flow mechanics, heat transfer, water/air psychometrics, evaporation
and condensation, air movement and control, gas filtration,
electrostatic precipitation, general instrumentation and control,
mechanical design, mechanical devices, and electrical devices.
Word, Excel, E mail, and AutoCAD. The location is in North
Carolina, and relocation assistance is available.

Strategic
Engineering Manager opportunity -
Bowling Green, KY
The
Engineering Manager position requires a high level of proven
engineering excellence, including the creation and oversight of
technical materials, as well as the provision of professional
approval and certifications for department project work. The EM
position will also be responsible for the training, direction and
mentoring of the engineering, design and drafting staff.
Additionally, the Engineering Manager will contribute to the
progress of the organization through the demonstration of an astute
sense of business and strategic planning skills.
Qualified candidates will have the following skills and experience:
Ability to prepare drawings, specifications, calculations, layouts
and other related documents that clearly, completely and accurately
communicate materials, methods and equipment required to construct
mechanical systems
Possess a complete understanding of industry codes and standards
applicable to the design and installation of mechanical systems
Ability to promptly and accurately process shop drawings, submittals
and information requests from internal and external customers
Possess a thorough understanding of construction costs and
estimating procedures
Ability to effectively lead the project development process,
including development of preliminary designs, preparation and
presentation of proposals, coordination of cost estimates and
negotiations with customers.
Demonstrated understanding of contract language, terms and
conditions, insurance coverage, limits and exclusions
Ability to develop budgets, schedule targets, assess technical
risks, and determine required skill mix and resources required for
precise and timely project completion
Proficient understanding of profit and loss statements, return on
investment as well as general accounting processes.
Thorough understanding of Quality Assurance/Quality Control
processes and procedures
Job site inspections with respect to the QA/QC of the design,
fabrication and installation
Creation, maintenance and control of design schedule with close
attention to the efficient allocation of the workload and resources
by priority and production capabilities
Qualified candidates will possess the following skills, experience,
education and abilities:
HVAC, Design-Build and Construction experience and applicable
Mechanical/Civil/HVACR/Construction Engineering degree required
MBA, Master's or advanced degree in business, business
administration or related field a plus
Professional Engineering/EIT certification
Commitment to the professional development of each individual in
department with appropriate training, planning, research, goal
setting and positive follow up
Ability to clearly and effectively communicate technical and design
issues to internal team members and external customers
Ability to take responsibility for project from inception to
completion, including design through construction
Pro-active leadership style required with propensity to plan ahead,
anticipate problems, facilitate strategies, manage conflict, and
provide effective counsel to customer and others within the company
Strong business acumen and strategic planning capabilities
Interpretation design, review and approval of technically sound,
cost-effective mechanical system solutions based on
customer/contractor specifications
Achievement of engineering financial objectives by preparing the
engineering budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances;
initiating corrective action measures
Provision of oversight and assistance to the design department in
calculations, layout, and sizing with ultimate responsible for
reviewing and approving design calculations and documents for
accuracy
Attendance at design and review meetings with project managers,
General Contractors and owners will be required.
Generation of additional project opportunities with owners,
engineers and architects by developing relationships and being
actively involved in technical societies and related local
organizations
